Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Cupcakes
Hey friends! We had so much fun doing this Chicka Chicka Boom Boom sensory bin that I got the idea to create these fun Chicka Chicka Boom Boom cupcakes, as well. My boys thought that they were so cool. I can’t wait to do more projects with these letter molds, too.

Here’s what you’ll need to make them
- White or vanilla Cupcakes + ingredients on box
- Buttercream whipped frosting
- Red candy melts
- Letter molds
- Palm trees
- Cake decorator
To make them, prepare your cupcakes according to the directions on the box.
Once they are finished baking, give them a bit to cool. While you wait, work on melting the candy melts.
Add the candy melts to a plastic gallon or quart size bag, and snip off the end.
Add the candy melts to your letter molds- whichever letters you wish to use for your cupcakes.
Put the mold in the refrigerator while you frost the cooled cupcakes.
I use my cake decorator for this. I have used this thing so many times since I got it- it makes my cupcake frosting turn out perfect!
Once your cupcakes are frosted you can add your coconut trees.
Then, take your candy letters from the refrigerator and carefully remove any excess candy from around the letters. They are ready to place!
