KiwiCo has 7 different boxes for kids of all ages, but the Koala Crate is perfect for preschoolers! It has reading based play and learning activities, perfect for this age group. I am always so impressed by the KiwiCo boxes, they are by far one of my favorite monthly subscriptions for kids. Here’s our Koala Crate review for April 2019. It will take us a couple of weeks to get through all of the activities in this box, so I’ll have an update then on how everything went.

The Koala Crate has a magazine for your little ones, as well as the storytime instructions & inspiration for grownups.
The box contains all of the supplies you need to do the activities in your guide.
For this box, that’s creating a puppet theatre, making dress up puppets, and also some alphabet card games.
The magazine has a guide for telling your little ones about the parts of a story, and to get them thinking about creating their own stories, and understanding sequences of events.
There is also a fun story to read with your little ones, which is a good way to discuss more about the parts of a story as you read.
Get your little ones moving with this section, which teaches them about acting out stories.
Finally, there’s an extra craft activity- creating your own monster bookmark with common items you probably have around your house.
Each Koala Crate box is curated with a special theme. Each will include high-quality materials for 2-3 creative activities, a parent guide, a magazine with extended learning through engaging activities and games, plus even more DIY ideas online. This box is perfect for preschoolers, aged 3-4 years old.
You can also get $10 off your first month with the code SHARE10.
KiwiCo also has 6 other crates for kids of all ages, even teens. The tadpole crate is perfect for kids age 0-36 months, Kiwi Crate for ages 5-8, Atlas Crate for ages 6-11, Doodle Crate for ages 9-16, Tinker Crate for ages 9-16, and Eureka Crate for ages 14-104.
Update: We finished the projects in this box! To see how they turned out, check out that post, here.

You might also like my reviews of The Story Box– our favorite book subscription box for kids. The books we’ve gotten from them have been some of my boys’ favorites for years. We need to replenish our book supply, so I’ve also resubscribed us to this box, too. We’ll be getting the picture book subscription, but you can also get board books or a mixed box with one picture book and one board book. Perfect if you have an older child and a baby or toddler.
