Pumpkin Pie Playdough Mats

I have another fun free playdough mat to share with you today- Pumpkin Pie playdough mats! You guys loved my pumpkin and apple Fall playdough mats that I created so I’ve really been meaning to make some more. These mats are pumpkin pie themed, and there are also some pages to help you introduce fractions to early learners by cutting the “pie” into equal parts.

My boys are getting older, but they still love playdough, and especially when we make it homemade. I do have a great pumpkin playdough recipe. Playdough is so beneficial to kids, it promotes fine motor skills, creativity, and can be a great calming activity as well. As your kiddos get older, they can even help in making homemade playdough recipes.

My favorite part about playdough is the creativity. Children need plenty of opportunities to express themselves creatively, which helps with social skills, problem solving, and more. These are just a few of the reasons why making playdough is one of our favorite things to do. I find that it’s slightly less messy than slime, and there are a lot more ways for kids to play with playdough from playdough mats, invitations to play, and just free play creating whatever pops into their minds.
