Hey guys! How crazy is it that August is over? Fall is seriously right around the corner and I cannot wait. So, I wanted to recap the goals I set for August and see how things went and share my new goals for September. I am really having a hard time remembering what goals I set by the end of the month- if that says anything about how many of them I probably actually achieved. Yikes! But, I’ve written my goals, I’m sharing them here, and I think I am also going to try posting them somewhere that I can easily see them every morning to keep myself on track. Okay, so here we go!
Here are the goals I set for August-

-Start Tot School (I’ve been reading on this awesome site – 1+1+1=1 about Tot School and this is something I REALLY want to do for Liam, even if it’s just 2 days a week!)
We are starting THIS WEEK! It took me a bit to get my bearings straight and get organized. I tried making my own curriculum which was a bust, I should have stuck with the experts (1+1+1=1) from the beginning! I’ve printed her A-D cirriculums and tailored them to Liam and we are all set through the month of November on plans. Liam is really starting to pick up new words like crazy so I really feel like this is perfect timing!
-Cook at home 6 nights a week
Do you know I FINALLY achieved this this past week??! This has been on my goals for a while, but with the past two months’ chaos of getting ready to move and then moving and getting settled it just didn’t happen, but I did it! Now, I just have to stick to it!
-Visit the park or some activity for Liam out of the house once a week
I know we did a few things this month, and he’s gotten some cousin time in, too- at the park! I really need to look into finding a play group.
-Finish home business A5 & list meal planning A5 planners on Etsy
Yes! Both of these are done! I’m working on listing the Home Business now, actually!
-Email 7-10 bloggers to pitch reviews each week for my planners
No, no, no, no, no. MUST. MAKE. TIME. FOR. THIS.
-1,200 pageviews a day
My pageviews for the last 30 days were 31, 461 so that’s about 1,048 a day. Almost!
-4,400 Facebook fans
4,050… that sure was a lofty goal… I’m thinking typo..? hahaha
-2,600 Twitter followers
-2,800 Pinterest followers
-1,000 Instagram followers
-use my social media printable daily
Nope. Must get better about this, too!
-post 4 times per week
I don’t know if I did this every week but I know I am getting better about posting more!
-blog hops daily
Nope. I’ve actually ditched the blog hops.
-fb blog groups daily
Not daily, but on days I post.
-Drink 50+ ounces of water daily
Nope, about to start my 21 Day Habit Tracker to make drinking water an everyday thing.. the right amounts.
-Conscious eating whether at home or out- watch what I’m eating and my portions! Use self control when it comes to having certain things in the house.
This has still been a struggle. I felt really mentally ready to make a change this month with my eating and exercising and then I got sick which set me back again. There have been some other stressful things at home which have also made the self control part a little hard, but I am working hard everyday to make better choices and to take control.
Okay, so I’d say that even though I kind of lost sight of my goals this month I still did pretty good- better than I expected, at least. I am working really hard on managing my time better while at home and not getting glued to the couch during the day. I think this would help me get a lot more accomplished. It’s super important that I make the most of my time during the day with things that I can do with my son following behind like laundry, cleaning, etc… so that when I do have that down time when he’s asleep I can get things done. I’ve also been working on getting him to do some activities at the table so I can do short tasks like answering emails and it has been going pretty well. So, that’s where we’re at, and I am excited for a fresh start in September.
Here are my goals for September…
-Get Dressed… every morning, first thing… and showered. Either as soon as Josh is up or right after the gym if I go (obviously).
-Get to the gym 3 times a week
-Finish new Nicholas Sparks book I downloaded on my Kindle!
-keep following daily cleaning checklist- get diligent about it
-cook 6 times a week
-make Josh’s lunches each day (it’s just less painless for everyone if I just do it)
-Tot School 5 times a week
-Outside time daily (his maw maw and paw paw brought him a big outside play set) when weather allows.
-Read before nap and bed time daily
-post 4 times a week
-promote posts 4 times a week
-do social media tracker M-F
-hit 35,000 page views/month
-re-do sidebar ads
-fix affiliate links in old posts
-list the rest of the home business planners
-create ultimate diy planner in black & white
-make full sized versions of the ultimate diy planner
-work on blogging A5 sized planners
-PROMOTE!! (share etsy stuff on fb groups, youtube, instagram, facebook)
-host 2 giveaways this month
-contact 15 bloggers or youtubers for reviews
-Labor Day & Fall sales (1st & 23rd)
-research, research, research! learn about vlogging & youtube
-do 1-2 videos per week
