We are almost through with the first week of January! Have you set your goals for the new year yet? Did you map out your action plan? Today we’re going to talk about how you can crush your 2017 goals in 5 easy steps!
My word for 2017 is CONSISTENCY. This is consistency in my business, my life, and especially with my goals. However, in order to be consistent, you have to know exactly what you want to accomplish and what steps are going to get you there! You can grab this free printable to get you started with your goal setting.
Step 1: Write down your goals.
I love this printable because it is an all-in-one place to write down your goal, exactly why you want to accomplish it, how the goal will change your LIFE, and then you break down your goal into things to do right now, a short term plan, and a long term plan. The first step to crushing your goals is to SET THEM and write them out. You should really take the time to sit down and seriously think about what things you want to accomplish. If there’s an area of your life you aren’t quite satisfied with, what can you do to change that? These are the things you want to focus on – improving your situation, achieving your dreams, and living your best life.
Step 2: Set SMART goals
S: Specific – are your goals specific? Broader goals can be hard to track and achieve.
M: Measurable – are your goals measurable? In order to track your progress you need to be able to measure your goals.
A: Actionable – do you know what ACTIONS you need to take to achieve these goals?
R: Realistic – are your goals realistic for you to accomplish? Think about your resources, etc…
T: Timely – how long will it take you to achieve these goals? Is this something you can do in one year?
Step 3: Make your action plan.
Break your goals down into monthly & weekly goals and tasks you can accomplish.
For example, if your goal is to save $10,000 this year, you can break that down by 12 months ($833/month) and then by weeks and you know you need to save $185 per week. Then, how are you going to save that money? Will you cut out bills or expenses? Will you lower your grocery budget each week? Those are things you need to track as well.
One of my favorite ways to make sure I am taking action every single day toward achieving my goals is to set myself up with a checklist with tasks that need to be accomplished daily. This is also extremely helpful for me with my word of the year being consistency. With this checklist I know what needs to be done every single day and I can check those things off as I go.

Step 5: Finally, take action.
No amount of planning can make goals happen for you and the progress and success comes from ACTIONS.
Now, you can write all of these things down in a notebook, on a napkin, wherever helps you to keep track of things, but you can get this entire pack of inspirational goal setting printables for just $5.
