I cannot believe that July is already here! We have been waiting impatiently, because this is the month that we’re moving! We only have a few more weeks here in NC before we load up and head home to Alabama.
Things have been pretty chaotic- lots of packing and working hard to get my business and blog squared away for the move so I don’t know how this month went, really. Here are the goals I had set for June-
Fitness & Health
-Walk 10+ miles/week Nope. It has been too hot, and exercising has been the last thing on my mind, honestly.
-Drink 6+ glasses of water/day Getting there. I’ve been averaging 2-3.
-Cook at home 6 times/week (watch portions) Getting SO much better. We’ve cut back to eating out about twice a week, so this one is close!
-Get into a strength training routine Nope.
-Aim to lose 1.5 pounds/week Nope.
-Log in my Fit Book everyday Nope. I’ve determined that tracking my food on my phone with My Fitness Pal is the best way, and I’ve been doing this for the past week or two.
-one special activity daily Getting better about this. When we move, we are going to have an extra living room- literally, which is going to be half my office and half a play room. We are going to start Tot School once we get settled. 🙂
-visit the park at least 1 time/week Ugh, no. It has been SO dang hot!
-read at least 15 mins, twice a day (he won’t sit still for much more than that!) Yep! We’ve been good about reading everyday, and he’s even been bringing me books whenever he sees one he wants me to read.
-revamp cleaning routine & get it implemented Not really, we’ve been doing more packing than cleaning at this point. I’m going to have to get into a new routine once we get moved.
-revamp “daily plan” & get it implemented Yes! I’ve been doing really good about this, especially working after Liam is in bed instead of being lazy!
-spend quality time with my husband at least 2 nights/week Yep, we have been doing this a night or two every week, too.
-Finish time management, meal, & cleaning planners in A5 size The Time Management & Cleaning are done! Meal Planning is on hold until I finish the Student & Teacher planners (the student will be in A5, the teacher planner won’t)… I wanted to have those done by mid-July, so once I know I’ve got those done I’ll try and do the meal planning before we move.
-get 5 blog reviews Yes! I made a form and shared it in the Facebook groups, and I have a list of people that have agreed to do reviews, we just have to work out all the deets. 🙂
-post 4 times/week Yes! I had a little break where I was MIA, but I’ve been doing good and I have posts planned all the way through July and into August now!
-get 2 sponsored posts (check opps every other day) Nope, not sure how worried about this I am right now.
-create & implement a daily social media plan Yes!! I just got that set up about a week ago and I am loving it and loving all the interacting on social media. I’m excited to see how this impacts my follower numbers. (I’m going back to tracking those this month!)
Okay, so this month actually wasn’t that bad! I expected a whole lot worse. I’m not setting very many goals this month- we’re going to be way into transition and I’m going to have to play things by ear, but I know there are a few things I for sure want to do…
-Drink at least 4 bottles of water a day (64+ ounces)
-Eat 5 small meals a day
-Only one meal out a week
-Pack healthy snacks & foods on our move so we aren’t eating out a ton.
-“Tot School”- play with purpose everyday (at least one activity)
-Read for 15-30 minutes a day
-finish Student A5, Teacher, and Meal Planning A5 Planners before we move
-get reviews set up and ready to go for July & August
-post 3x/week (guest posts on moving week!)
-make daily social media plan a habit
– +200 Facebook Fans (currently 3,950)
– +100 Instagram Followers (currently 809)
– +200 Twitter Followers (currently 2,433)
– +200 Pinterest Followers (currently 2,619)
– +50 Email Subscribers (currently 853)
Okay, so I don’t have any personal or home goals this month- our focus is going to be on the move and making that go smoothly, so that’s what we’re working on. This is going to be an AMAZING month!!
