Mummy Hot Dogs for Halloween

It’s finally October! Can you believe it?? I have a fun Halloween post to share today. We love having fun dinners on Halloween- usually something easy to put together that we can munch on before the kids run off to trick or treat. That’s where the Mummy Hot Dogs come in. I always try to make sure my little ones are getting something in their bellies other than sugar on Halloween night.

These are super easy to whip up- you just need a pack of hot dogs, a pack of crescent rolls, and ketchup, or your other favorite dipping sauce. I remember last year we didn’t do an easy meal like this, and I was running back and forth answering the door for trick or treaters and trying to cook dinner at the same time. It was really no fun at all, so I think we are making this a tradition.

To make them is super easy- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Then, I just unroll my crescents and cut them into skinny strips. I use the strips to wrap up my hot dogs to look like a mummy.

Once your mummies are wrapped, bake them for 11-12 minutes until the crescents start to turn golden brown.

I usually like to dot my mummies with some ketchup eyes and they are ready to go. You can serve these when french fries, or by themselves. My kids are usually really ready to get their costumes on and go outside, so they eat a couple of these and take off.

There you have it, a quick, fun, and easy Halloween dinner idea. I’d love to know if you make these, so leave a comment below or snap a photo and tag me on Instagram @PlanningInspired!
