DIY Holiday Centerpiece on a Budget

This centerpiece is probably one of my favorite things I have ever made, and I can’t wait to share it with you. The best part, I made this DIY holiday centerpiece with a few Dollar Tree supplies and some flameless candles that are super budget friendly, but beautiful, from Walmart.

Here’s what you’ll need to put these together-

  • Better Homes and Gardens Flameless Candles (these were in my seasonal section with all of the holiday warmers and candles at my Walmart!)
  • 1 Dollar tree garland with wire
  • 1 pack of Dollar Tree snowflakes
  • 2-3 Dollar tree holly picks

I think the candles were around $15, so in total I made this centerpiece for less than $20. That’s not bad at all for a beautiful custom centerpiece that is so simple to put together.

Here’s how it’s done…

First, set your candles on your table. (I got this beautiful table cloth from Walmart as well.)

Then, wrap your wire garland around the candles. I was able to go around each candle twice. I love the Dollar Tree garland for this because it does have the wire which makes it easy to shape just how you want it. If you have a hard time getting the garland to lay down towards the bottom of your candles, you could shape it, remove the candles, and then lie a heavy book on top of the garland for a bit.

Next, I put one of these snowflakes underneath the garland, in between each of the candles all the way around the centerpiece. My pack came with several snowflakes, but you really only need 3 for this step.

Finally, you’ll want to take your holly picks and break them apart. This glittered holly was so pretty and really set off this centerpiece for me. I love the glam look of the glittered candles with the glittered holly berries and snowflakes.

If you are looking for a super simple DIY holiday centerpiece, try putting one together like this. You could use any variety of floral picks, garland, and snowflakes. Plus, there were a few different style of these great pillar candles. I can see them being something I reuse each season in my decor in some way. They are so pretty! Just make sure you have plenty of batteries. The good thing though, they came with a remote so you can turn them on and off that way.

If you recreate this, I’d love to know, and share in the comments- what is your favorite DIY holiday decor you’ve made?
