Hey guys, I have a really fun tutorial to share with you today. This is perfect if you have woodland or farmhouse themed Christmas decor, or just because it is so fun!

Gift giving is one of the best parts of the holiday. Surprising family and friends with thoughtful gifts is the best, and I love dressing up fun packages to make gift opening even more fun.

First, gather your gift wrapping supplies and most importantly, your wood slices, which you can find at your local craft store, and, of course, a Sharpie! My Sharpies worked so great on this DIY, and they are a must have in my craft supplies collection. I’ve been learning how to hand letter, and Sharpies are definitely my favorite tool.

Sharpies also make great gifts- I’m wrapping up this amazing set for my friend Nancy.

I want to create a really cute gift tag for her, and put all this time learning hand lettering to use. It’s not perfect, but I know it is going to be the perfect touch for these gifts and she will appreciate the hand made touch. These are fun to make and so memorable for your gift receivers, too. They’re going to love that you custom made this gift tag for them, and they could even use it later as a decor piece!

So, you’ll want to start by taking your wood slice and drilling a hole (or having your husband drill a hole) if it doesn’t already have one, so that you can attach it to the present with ribbon. Then you’ll want to trace out the name in pencil.

Once you have your pencil tracing perfect, you can go over it with your Sharpie marker. Make it extra fancy by thickening the down strokes on the letters for a fun hand lettered look. Did I mention that I love Sharpies for all of my crafting projects?

These gift sets that are available are so great. They’re perfect for kids, teens, and adults. I know a lot of my crafty friends would absolutely love one of these sets, and they would be perfect for a budding artist. There are so many colors included, which means endless possibilities. They would really be great for artists of all kinds.

You can get $10 off these gift sets at Target from 12/3- 12/23, click the offer above to learn more!

I fixed up a couple of gifts this way and I absolutely love how they turned out. This is such a unique and fun gift giving idea that your friends and family will love. Your gift tags will be the talk of the Christmas party!

Look for Sharpie gifts and supplies at your local Target this holiday season!
