It is officially November, which means we are about to be in full Holiday mode! If your family is like ours, you’ll probably be hosting some Holiday guests at some point before the end of the year, so today I’m sharing my holiday guest essentials. These things will ensure that you have what you need for your visitors and that they have a pleasant experience staying in your home. I’ve also included a free printable checklist that you can use to make your own list of essentials to pick up asap.
The first place you’ll want to spruce up is your guest bathroom. Here are some things you can include:
- Freshly washed towels and wash cloths for showering
- A nice supply of toilet paper, to ensure no one runs out!
- A new hand soap
- Hand towels, bonus points if they’re festive
- A nice candle that guests can light as they wish
- Air freshener
- A supply of soaps, shampoos, and other hygiene items. A basket of travel sized items can be fun.
Next, we’re moving onto the kitchen, which is likely to be the most used area of your home during the holidays, especially when hosting guests. Make sure you stock up on basic necessities such as paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, and anything else you can think of that you use on a regular basis in your home. With guests these items may run out faster than usual.
We love running into Family Dollar to stock up on holiday essentials without breaking the bank. The Angel Soft® 12 Family bath tissue has softness and lasting strength that you can feel comfortable supplying your guests with. We also love Sparkle® paper towels for their quality and their price. These are our go-to towels, so we make sure to stock up when we need to.
Some other things I recommend for the kitchen:
- Coffee supplies
- Paper plates
- Plastic silverware
- A meal plan for when guests are coming
In my opinion, you can really never have enough coffee and enough nice scented candles during the holiday season. Some other things you might want to make sure your guests have- fresh blankets and pillows if they’re not bringing them, tissues, and anything else that you can think of that you know makes you feel at home and comfortable when traveling.
Now, make sure you download your free printable so that your home can be guest ready this year!
Here’s how you use them-
