Hey guys! If you’ve been following you know, or if not we had a baby almost 2 months ago! So, we’ve quickly discovered that parenting two children has its definite challenges compared to having just one child.
For one, keeping an eye on both kiddos at the same time when it’s just me here during the day can be interesting. However, even when my husband is home things can still get a bit chaotic, and we usually take the divide and conquer approach with the kids.
It was a big adjustment for me not getting to tuck our older son in each night- something I was used to doing before baby came. However, it’s definitely a goal of ours to get baby’s sleep on a schedule and somewhat in line with brother’s sleep. So, we usually trade off on bedtimes with who gets to tuck in who.
The VTech VM343 monitor kind of gives us that feeling that we’re both a part of our older son’s bedtime, making it so that I don’t miss a moment, even if I can’t be there, and that my husband doesn’t miss a moment, either.
He enjoys getting to be a part of story time even when he’s on baby duty.
I love that our VTech VM343 gives me an extra pair of eyes during the day, too, whether I’m keeping an eye on our older son in his room, or if I move the monitor to keep an eye on baby while I’m doing household chores.
The VTech VM343 expandable digital video baby monitor includes a Pan & Tilt Camera (great for keeping an eye on my son as I can zoom and pan the camera around his room) and Automatic Night Vision. Never miss a smile thanks to the full-color, high resolution video on a large 4.3 inch LCD screen. The camera pans up to 270 degrees side to side and tilts as many as 120 degrees up and down (probably my favorite feature). Best of all the digital transmission makes sure that all videos are private and secure, and you can add up to 4 cameras with one parent unit- we plan on buying another camera so we can watch both kids with one unit! We’ve tried several baby monitors over the years, and the VTech is by far one of my favorites. The night vision is great and I love the range of motion with the camera. Plus, the video & sound quality are great as well.
The VTech VM343 definitely makes my mama life with two kids easier. How would a good monitor make your life easier? Share in the comments!
