Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with ya’ll our FAVORITE Christmas cookies! This is a classic Betty Crocker recipe, but I love them because they are so easy and delicious and Bisquick does all the work! BONUS! I’m sharing a FREE printable you can use as a bag topper, which makes these (or any cookies you like) the perfect last minute Christmas gift!
To make these cookies, you’ll need-
1 can (14 oz.) of sweetened condensed milk… we prefer Carnation. 😉
3/4 cup of peanut butter
2 cups of original Bisquick mix
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Hershey’s Kisses brand milk chocolates, unwrapped
the original recipe says 36 of them, but my batch only made about 20 cookies 😉 I roll out my cookies then have my husband unwrap as many as I need as I go…
To make your cookies…
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
Mix sweetened condensed milk + peanut butter in a large bowl until smooth
Stir in Bisquick and vanilla
Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls & roll in sugar
Place 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet
or a cookie sheet covered in foil if yours is on its death bed like ours
Bake 8-10 minutes & immediately push your Hershey kisses into the center once they’re out of the oven.
ALSO: I usually chill mine before eating, this helps the Hershey kisses solidify again (they usually get a little melt-y from the warm cookies.
Okay, I do want to make a note here, if you plan using my free printable as a Christmas gift with your cookies, I might choose a peanut butter or peanut free cookie just in case anyone has an allergy that you’re not aware of. These will be going to our close family, so we’re okay, but I just thought I’d note that. 🙂
Now, be sure to download these CUTE Ziploc bag toppers to dress up a cute edible gift! These are designed to be 8 inches wide and to fit the special edition holiday bags (quart size), however, you can easily trim the printable down to fit regular quart bags or even sandwich bags!
There are two versions of this file- one for you if your printer will do borderless printing, and one if your printer does not. If your printer DOES NOT do borderless printing, you’ll want to leave the 1/2 inch white side margins on your toppers so that they’ll fit the whole way across the holiday bags. If your printer does do borderless, just print & trim around the edges!
I hope you enjoy this recipe and/or printable & I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!
