I have another fun Halloween cupcake for you today with these Spider Cupcakes! If you missed my Mummy Cupcakes, you can check those out here, too!
My boys really loved these fun cupcakes and they are so easy to make. Get your little ones involved- this would be fun to have them help create! This recipe makes 12 cupcakes.
To make these here’s what you’ll need-
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup milk
Your favorite white icing
Black candy melts
12 Chocolate cream cookies
To bake the cupcakes-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees farenheit. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa, and salt.
Whisk together dry ingredients
In another large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy
Add eggs one at a time, mixing in between each egg with your mixer
Stir in the vanilla
Alternate slowly adding milk and dry ingredients, mix well
Fill muffin cups 3/4 full
Bake for 15-17 minutes
Cool the cupcakes before frosting
Pipe on white icing- think messy spider web
Use a chocolate cream cookie for the spider body
Attach candy eyes with a small amount of white icing
Draw on spider legs with melted candy melts- I piped them on just like icing with my smallest icing tip
