I don’t know about you guys but for us, summer means grilling out, barbecue, watermelon, lemonade, the pool, and time outside with family and friends. Today I’m sharing a fun recipe that will be a hit at your next cook out. It’s so simple, so easy, and most importantly, so delicious.
At my husband’s suggestion, I first thought “Watermelon Lemonade?” like no way, that sounds crazy… but it is so delicious… like taking your lemonade to the next level. Now Watermelon Lemonade is a favorite at our house, with just two ingredients, here’s how you make it-
First, hop on over to Sam’s Club and grab one of these double packs of Simply Lemonade. This is key. Simply Lemonade is all-natural and so refreshing. It is ready to go and best of all, delicious… way better than any sugar loaded powdered lemonade I might mix up. This also helps me feel good about giving it to my family- all natural lemonade and fresh watermelon, you can’t beat it!
You also can’t beat Sam’s Club’s value and great prices. They’re the perfect destination to pick up large quantity items for your summer get-together. We love stocking up on summer essentials at Sam’s Club and were so happy to find these Simply Lemonade double packs. You’ll need two because your watermelon lemonade is going to go fast.
Also, pick up a watermelon while you are there! One will do you for a couple of batches of lemonade.
Really, all you need to make Watermelon Lemonade is Simply Lemonade, a watermelon, ice, and your blender. The perfect solution for when you’d rather be outside with family than inside stuck in the kitchen.
Once you have your supplies, cut off a few slices of watermelon. You’ll want to blend up your water melon, minus the rind, of course.
If you aren’t a big fan of the fruity bits, you could also strain the watermelon juice.
Add your ice first- however much you want, then fill the container up about half way with the watermelon juice. Add your simply lemonade- for us, it was one whole bottle, but it will vary depending on your pitcher size. I recommend doing half watermelon/ice and half lemonade, but there’s really no way to mess this up.
This is so delicious, you guys. Probably my favorite summer drink of all time, and my husband and kiddo love it, too.
Make sure you whip some up the next time you grill out, especially if you are entertaining. Your guests will absolutely love it, and you will look like a genius!
Now, share in the comments, what summer fun do you have planned in the coming weeks?
