Beach Cupcakes

Today I wanted to share these fun and easy Beach Cupcakes that you can make to celebrate your upcoming vacation, or to have on vacation -how fun! These would also be great for a beach themed party or homeschool unit theme.

Beach Cupcakes Ingredients:

Here’s everything you’ll need to make the seashell and starfish molds-

And then for the cupcakes, you’ll need-

Finally, for the ocean frosting & “sand”-

Beach Cupcakes Directions

Here’s how to make them-

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your 12 ct. muffin tin with cupcake liners
  • In a large bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and milk
  • Slowly add in flour and baking powder, mixing gently between each addition
  • Fill the cupcake liners 1/2-2/3 full
  • Bake cupcakes for 18-20 minutes

Meanwhile, prep your seashell and starfish candies, here’s how-

  • Pour about 1/2 of your light pink and peanut butter candy melts into separate microwave-safe bowls
  • Microwave them for 30-second intervals, stirring well in between
  • Pour your melted candy into a piping bag, or ziploc- whatever you have on hand
  • Pipe the candy into your molds- pink for the seashells and peanut butter for the starfish
  • Place the molds in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes

Once the cupcakes are finished-

  • Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting
  • Crush 1 sleeve of graham cracker crumbs and set aside
  • Add a few drops of blue gel food coloring to the white icing and mix well until color is incorporated
  • Generously frost each cupcake
  • Dip 1/2 of the cupcake into the crushed graham crackers
  • Add a seashell or starfish
  • Repeat for the remaining cupcakes- recipe should make approximately 1 dozen

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
