This Washington Apple Shot is a fun Fall shot made with cranberry juice, sour apple pucker, and Crown Royal Canadian whisky. It is the perfect sweet and sour combination with equal parts sweet cranberry juice and sour apple schnapps. It’s a miniature version of the Washington Apple Cocktail (a great drink, btw) that is perfect for your adult get togethers this Fall.

• We love using the sour apple liqueur to bring the apple flavor to our Washington Apple recipe.
• They’re perfect for a Halloween party, Thanksgiving, or anytime you need a fun little Fall friendly shot. The Washington Apple is a popular cocktail, and we can totally see why.

Ingredients:

• 1 ounce Crown Royal
• ½ ounce Dekuyper Sour Apple Pucker
• ½ ounce Cranberry Juice
• Optional: fresh apple slices for garnish

Directions:

Step 1: To a 2 ounce shot glass, add Crown Royal, sour apple pucker, and then cranberry juice. If desired, you can add an apple slice to the side of the shot glass.

Substitutions & Tips:

• You could swap the cranberry juice in this recipe for apple juice and still get that perfect sweet and sour blend, if you prefer. Apple cider would also be fun to try. Cran-apple juice would also work great, as well.
• You can use any liquor you like- we really prefer Crown Royal in these shots but use any whiskey you have on hand, or try a vodka or even a spiced rum would be delicious. You could also use other Crown Royal flavors, like Crown Royal Apple!
• If you don’t love the sour apple pucker, you can opt to skip it for a sweet apple shot to enjoy, but the sour apple pucker schnapps really adds the perfect tang to this shot. It’s totally up to whatever is your personal preference.
