Reindeer Pretzels
These cute little Reindeer Pretzels are the perfect Christmas treat. They’re easy to make, and adorable, too! If you are looking for a fun and unique Christmas candy idea, this is one kids and adults will both enjoy. You only need a few ingredients- pretzels, Rolo candies, M&Ms, and candy eyes to whip up these cute little snacks.
Older kids can even help make these Reindeer pretzel candies. If you pre-break the pretzels for the antlers it will be easy-peasy. This recipe makes about 20 candies total, but you can easily make more if you need to, just adjust the quantities of your ingredients.
Ingredients
- 20 mini twist pretzels, plus about 2 cups of additional pretzels to make the antlers
- 20 Rolo candies
- 20 red M&M candies
- 40 candy eyeballs
Directions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 275 degrees- just hot enough to start melting the Rolo candies. Also, prepare a large baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
Step 2: Lay out all of your pretzels onto the parchment paper, and place a Rolo candy into the center of each one.
Step 3: Take the additional pretzels, and break them apart to make 40 antlers for your reindeer.
Step 4: Bake the Rolo pretzels for 3-4 minutes. The candy will look like it is starting to melt, and will be shiny.
Step 5: Remove the candies from the oven. Press an M&M into the lower part of the Rolo, press two antlers into the top, and finish with two candy eyes. Be sure to do this quickly, before the candies start to cool too much.
Step 6: Chill the candies in the refrigerator for 2 hours, or until the melted candies have set.
