Halloween Blood Bag Drinks
I am so excited to share these super spooky, but definitely fun, Halloween Blood Bag Drinks. These are PERFECT for your Halloween party, and they will be a huge hit. When it comes to Halloween themed cocktails, it doesn’t get much better than this creepy idea!
Why we love this idea-
- We used simple ingredients to make an easy cocktail for our Halloween blood bag drinks. The combination of cranberry juice, fruit punch, and vodka makes for a simple and delicious drink.
- The gruesome blood bags are so much fun for a spooky season party. They are the perfect scary themed drinks.
- The blood bags we purchased came with a fun blood type sticker for each bag, which just adds to the effect.
- These would also be fun for a nurse’s graduation party, as well, a True Blood or Vampire Diaries watch party, and more.
You might have a few questions before committing to this idea-
How do you fill fake blood bags with drinks?
The set we purchased on Amazon included a syringe for a super easy way to fill the bags. They also included little clamps to seal them off once they’re filled.
What do you put in a blood bag for Halloween?
Any red cocktail is perfect. You can use our cocktail recipe below, or add any red cocktail you like.
The pouches are large, they hold two drinks in one pouch, but here’s how to fill them up-
Blood Bag Cocktail Ingredients:
- 3 ounces vodka
- 3 ounces cranberry juice
- 3 ounces fruit punch
Tip: mix up multiple bags worth of cocktails at a time by combining equal parts vodka, fruit punch, and cranberry juice. Or, make this fun idea non-alcoholic by skipping the vodka.
Of course, you need your blood bag kit as well. Amazon has them in bulk for parties!
Directions:
Step 1: Rinse out your fake blood bags and the syringe included in hot water, and dry off the outsides.
Step 2: Attach the stickers provided, if desired.
Step 3: In a large measuring cup, stir together vodka, fruit punch, and cranberry juice.
Step 4: Use the syringe that comes with your bags to fill them with the red cocktail.
Step 5: Seal them with the seals provided, until ready to enjoy.
Substitutions & Tips:
- You can substitute any red cocktail or mixer you want in these blood bags, we just kept it simple with our easy drink. Feel free to put any Halloween punch or Halloween cocktails you enjoy inside the bags, as long as they’re red, they’ll work. These bags would also be fun with a green color cocktail (alien blood), or even a black cocktail (vampire blood), as well.
- Skip the alcohol completely for a non-alcoholic version. You could fill the alcohol free versions with black cherry juice, red Hawaiian Punch (or other fruit punch), pomegranate juice, even red Kool Aid!
- Add a set of plastic vampire teeth to each one for your vampire loving friends.
Can I reuse these fake blood bags?
While you can rinse them out, there is no real good way to dry out the insides of these bags, so I wouldn’t plan on reusing them. They’re pretty inexpensive and come with several in a pack, so just buy more if you need them again.
I hope you make these festive cocktails for your Halloween parties this year. This is the BEST spooky cocktail, hands down, that you can serve. The bags are such a fun way to serve up your cocktails.
