Easy Halloween Mummy Dogs
If you need an easy Halloween dinner that doesn’t require a ton of prep, it doesn’t get much easier than these crescent roll mummy hot dogs.
They’re essentially classic pigs in a blanket with a spooky Halloween makeover. Instead of completely wrapping the hot dogs in crescent dough, we’ll use thin strips to create the mummy’s bandages.
Serve them with ketchup and mustard for dipping and you’ve got an easy Halloween meal that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients
You only need a few simple ingredients to make these Halloween hot dogs:
Hot Dogs– use your favorite brand, we like to always get bun length hot dogs.
Refrigerated crescent roll dough– One standard tube works perfectly. Crescent dough sheets are especially easy to cut into mummy strips, but regular crescent rolls work, too.
Candy eyes or mustard– for creating the mummy faces.
You can also grab ketchup and mustard for dipping, or whatever you prefer.

How to Make Mummy Hot Dogs
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Unroll the crescent roll dough. If using perforated crescent rolls, press the seams together.

Step 3: Use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to cut the crescent dough into thin strips.

Step 4: Wrap several strips of crescent roll dough around each hot dog to look like mummy bandages. Leave a small opening near the top of each hot dog for the mummy’s face.

The wrapping doesn’t have to be perfect, overlapping and crisscrossing the dough makes the mummies even cuter.
Step 5: Place the wrapped hot dogs onto your prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.

Step 6: Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is puffed and golden brown.

Step 7: Allow the mummy hot dogs to cool for a few minutes. Add candy eyes, or use tiny dots of mustard to create the eyes.

Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauces.
Tips for the Best Mummy Hot Dogs
- Cut your crescent dough into fairly thin strips so you can create several layers of mummy “bandages” without completely covering the hot dog.
- Don’t worry about making every mummy look the same. Some can have more dough than others, and crooked or overlapping strips make them look even more like mummies.
- Be sure to leave a little space uncovered near the top of the hot dog. This gives you the perfect spot to add the mummy’s eyes after baking.
- If you’re using candy eyes, wait until the mummy dogs have finished baking before adding them. You can use a tiny dab of mustard or ketchup to help them stick.

What to Serve With Mummy Hot Dogs
These mummy dogs make such a fun centerpiece for an easy Halloween dinner. Serve them with french fries, tater tots, chips, fruit, or veggies for a simple meal before heading out to trick-or-treat.
For a Halloween party, add them to a spooky food spread with your favorite Halloween dips, snacks, desserts, and punch.
Can I Make Mummy Hot Dogs Ahead of Time?
These are best served shortly after baking, when the crescent roll dough is warm and flaky.
If you want to save time, you can cut your crescent dough and wrap the hot dogs a little earlier in the day. Keep them covered in the refrigerator until you’re ready to bake.
Leftover mummy hot dogs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days. Reheat them in the oven or air fryer for the best texture.

A Fun and Easy Halloween Dinner
These Mummy Hot Dogs with crescent rolls are proof that Halloween food doesn’t have to be complicated. With a couple of ingredients and just a few minutes of prep, you can turn ordinary hot dogs into an adorable spooky dinner.
Make them for a Halloween party, serve them before trick-or-treating, or add them to your family’s Halloween night traditions. They’re easy, festive, and almost too cute to eat!
