I’ve got a few different fun activities for you, and a nice variety so you can pick something your little one will be interested in. We love making fun crafts and then enjoying stories to go along with them. I find that these books really get my boys excited about whichever holiday we’re learning about. They love them.
St. Patrick’s Day Activities + Coordinating Books
St. Patrick’s Day Slime from Little Bins for Little Hands
This activity goes perfectly with the book That’s What Leprechauns Do – a book all about leprechaun mischief!
Rainbow Pot of Gold Craft from Natural Beach Living
This is a fun & easy paper chain craft, and I would choose the book How to Catch a Leprechaun to read with this activity (then, maybe they’ll catch their own leprechaun with their fun rainbow & pot of gold!)
St. Patrick’s Day Handprint Rainbow Craft from B-Inspired Mama
Getting messy with paint is always a fun thing to do around here. I would read The Night Before St. Patrick’s Day with this activity- it puts a fun Irish twist on the Christmas classic and is a fun way to learn about St. Patrick’s Day traditions!
Leprechaun Baking Soda Science & Coin Hunt from Little Bins for Little Hands
This is a fun sensory experience & activity themed around St. Patrick’s Day, and I think it goes great with the book Ten Lucky Leprechauns – a book about leprechauns hunting for treasure!
Homemade Shamrock Shake from Baking Beauty
No seasonal holiday fun is complete without a sweet treat, and this yummy Shamrock Shake goes great with reading the book There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover.
Okay, so this should give you a few great St. Patrick’s Day activities you can do with your preschooler or toddler. Let us know if you do any of these activities in the comments below, and I hope you have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day with your little ones!
