  • 1 (8-count) can of crescent rolls
  • 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz colby jack cheese

Directions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit. Roll the crescent dough on a cutting board, and press the seams together to form one sheet.

Step 2: Use a pizza cutter to slice the dough into 8 equal strips.

Step 3: Fold each strip in half length-wise and wrap it around each hot dog in a spiral. Place the hot dogs on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Step 4: Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the dough is lightly golden brown.

Step 5: White hot dogs bake, prepare your cheese stars. Slice the cheese into thick sections about 1/2 inch thick. Then, use a mini star cutter to cut out star shapes.

Ingredients

  • 8 bun length hot dogs
  • 1 (8 ct.) can of crescent rolls
  • 4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz. monterey jack cheese.
  • Long skewers

Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
    2. On a cutting board, roll out the crescent roll dough, and press the seams together.
    3. Use a pizza cutter to divide the crescent roll sheet into 8 strips.
    4. Fold each strip at half, and wind a crescent strip around each hot dog.
    5. Place onto a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes, until a light golden brown.
    6. Take the cheese, and slice in half, then in half again. You want wide enough sections to press a mini star cookie cutter into, and they need to be about 1/2 inch thick to go onto the skewer.
    7. Cut out star cheese shapes using a miniature star cookie cutter.
    8. Run a skewer through each hot dog, and add a cheese star to the top.
