The holidays can be such a busy time. Between family gatherings, and big meals to plan, like Thanksgiving Dinner, there is a lot of behind the scenes prep work to make these fun times happen. Today I’m going to share one quick way that you can make Thanksgiving prep a little less stressful. I’ve created a short cleaning checklist that you can use when guests are coming- even on short notice! Check off these tasks to have a presentable home in no time.
Then, we’re going to put together an easy cleaning caddy that you can keep on hand during the holiday season so that you have everything you need for easy cleanups in one place. This is just one simple way to organize your home during the holidays, but it can make a huge difference.
For this printable, I included all of the essential tasks to tidy your home quickly when guests are on their way or when you are short on time. I also added some blank lines so you can add any tasks specific to your home. Print this & keep it handy on a clipboard with a pen. You could even laminate it and use again and again.

Next, gather your supplies. I like to have gloves, microfiber cloths, and a good scrubber in my caddy. Then, I keep it pretty minimal with my cleaning products. Here are a few essentials that I would include-
- Windex® Original Glass Cleaner gives life a sparkle™. I use it on mirrors, glass doors and windows, my televisions, and more! You can even clean your counters and stove tops with Windex®! With the patented ingredient, Ammonia-D®, dirt and grime will be disappearing before you even wipe it away.
- Scrubbing Bubbles® Fantastik® is great for all of your bathroom cleaning needs. It kills 99% of bacteria, and does not require any rinsing, making your cleaning even faster.
- Finally, for dusting I count on Pledge® to shine, clean, and protect surfaces in my home. Plus, the lemon scent is my favorite and really leaves my home smelling clean.
Like I mentioned, you can store all of your cleaning supplies in an easy to grab caddy so that you have everything on hand to get your home guest ready.

I think having a cleaning caddy like this makes it so much easier to clean. I hate when I am in the bathroom and realize I forgot something I needed.
I just went over cobwebs this morning. I am hoping that since the weather has cooled, they are hibernating or something. Great checklist!
What a great checklist, I am printing this out now. I am already starting to clean for the holidays!
I love having a cleaning caddy, although I use a bucket! It’s so much easier to find anything quickly. I like the checklist!
This is a great list. I wish I was more organized with stuff like this. I clearly need your help! Lol. However, my list would have one check box “Hire Someone to Clean House.”
this is great for the holiday to do list, thanks for putting it together, I know many of us could us it.
I love the idea of this cleaning caddy because anyone in the family can just take it and go pitch in. Having my favorite cleaning products in one place will make holiday clean-up so much easier.
I’m so happy that I will be out of town visiting other people this holiday and don’t have to worry about cleaning for guests. I do, however, have to do the cooking…so I guess that’s the trade off.
