To make these mummy cupcakes I used just a boxed chocolate cupcake for this, and then I got creative with the icing & candy eyeballs. I found my eyeballs at Walmart, but you can also find them on Amazon here.

Here’s what you’ll need to make them-

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix + ingredients from the back (eggs, oil)
  • Store bought white frosting, buttercream or cream cheese are both great
  • Candy eyeballs

To make these cupcakes, just follow the directions on your box mix, pouring your cakes into fun Halloween wrappers. Bake for the desired time and then allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

To decorate, I added a tiny bit of frosting to the back of the candy eyes to help them stick, then I used a frosting piping bag with a flat tip, and drew on the mummy’s “wrap”. The best part about these cupcakes is if they are messy it is totally fine. Mummy’s are messy, after all.
