Hello lovelies! Today’s post is for all my bloggers & those who would like to blog out there reading! I’ve just began making a decent amount of money from this little old blog in the last 6 months, and I’ve done quite well. I see a lot of posts listing 100,000 ways to make money on your blog, but today I’m just sharing 5. I’m sharing 5 ways that I’ve actually made money blogging. Are ya’ll ready??!
I’m going to break it down by the income method & then give more specifics on how I do it & specifically what programs I use!
1. Sponsored Posts
Okay, so sponsored posts are probably my most lucrative outlet to making money solely on my blog. I LOVE doing sponsored posts, they are so much fun! Specifically, I use Social Fabric and Clever Girls Collective to make the bulk of my sponsored post money. I have a few other smaller companies that I use, but honestly it hasn’t amounted to much outside of these two. I’m hoping to do a separate post very soon about how to get more sponsored posts, so make sure you subscribe to get an email once that post is live!
2. Affiliate Income
There are many, many affiliate programs you can join. For me personally, Amazon Associates and programs I’ve joined through Share A Sale have been the best option. I link to things in my posts such as planner supplies, tot schooling supplies, etc… which have led to a few sales with Amazon Associates. Nothing to write home about, but every little bit counts & I could see this becoming a larger money maker for me with more effort and links. For Share A Sale, my biggest ways to earn are through bonus posts, and my subscription box affiliate programs- Julep, Bluum, & Citrus Lane. I have also made a little extra money by sharing my favorite smart phone apps (their affiliate link) and sharing how I make money using Swagbucks!
3. Ads
For ads, I use Google Adsense and Mode Media. Ads are pretty straightforward. You apply to join and if accepted you place ad units on your blog. 🙂
4. Izea
I use Izea mostly for sponsored tweets & facebook posts. It’s so easy once you watch the video tutorials and I’ve made a good bit since using it. There are also some sponsored post opportunities on there, too!
5. Etsy
Okay, and finally, my biggest money maker is selling my own products through my Etsy shop. If you can use your blog as a platform to launch your own products, this is likely to be one of the best ways you can make money. Things like ads and sponsored tweets are small potatoes when you think about selling your own stuff & making $10 a sale instead of $.50 or $4. You know? I was a blogger before I ever started on Etsy, but now they work pretty interchangeably to create an awesome community for me here in my little corner of the web.
Now, I just want to say, none of this would be possible without the hard work and effort put into this blog or my shop. It is quite the learning curve, and it is really never ending and ever evolving. I’ve had to adapt and change constantly over the years. Also, the readers are #1, because without them you don’t have anything either. I never promote a product or share anything on my blog that I don’t 100% love and know that you guys will love, too. I am so grateful everyday for my wonderful readers and customers. This blog & shop are my livelihood & I am blessed to be able to do this. So, I just wanted to share that.
Now, do any of you out there make money through your blog & have a successful avenue that I didn’t mention here? Please share it in the comments!

I just posted my first SoFab post and I must say they are the best company I’ve worked with so far. I love how they have everything laid out. I just signed up with Izea. I noticed they have ‘limits’ but they also have where you can pay so you can apply for more? Is that worth it?
Great ideas. Clever girls has been my #1 source lately. I am trying to get my page views up for social fabric.
Great tips! Sponsored ads and social media posts are my biggest money makers. I’m hoping to try Izea soon.
Wow, lots of great ideas. I’m working on my page views, haha one of these days!
That’s awesome that you have made a successful business blogging! I’m still trying to figure it all out, so I’m not making money yet, but hope so soon! Thank you for sharing your tips.

Awesome post… thanks. I have been blogging for about 9 months now (and loving it). I have ONLY just got the hang of actually getting followers, making connections (never thought I was a slow learner… but apparently I am!). I have a pitiful amount of followers on social media and my blog. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I am just seeing this post but found it helpful and will definitely bookmark it for future reference! I am slowly but steadily building my blog…I haven’t publicized it yet really…just trying to get some posts on it and figure it all out! My recent adventure is trying to figure out how to add an email subscription to the blog….I am looking at Mail Poet and Mail Chimp….I am not sure which way to go…any tips? I am not super techy so this blog set up is really making me work and think!
I love your planner stickers by the way! I just received my 2nd order and love them all 🙂
