I’m so excited to share this delicious Christmas Milkshake recipe we did! It is made with milk, and Blue Bell Christmas Cookies ice cream! While I wouldn’t call this a “freak shake” we did dress it up a bit for some festive fun. A milkshake might not be the first thing you think of when you think about the holiday season, but this one is perfect, and even Santa would love it!

Christmas Milkshake

If you haven’t discovered the Blue Bell Christmas Cookies ice cream yet, it is described as “chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and sugar cookies in a sugar cookie ice cream, swirled with green frosting and red sprinkles.” Yum! This Christmas cookie milkshake will quickly become a Christmas time tradition. Let’s talk about how we made it!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Blue Bell Christmas Cookie Ice Cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ tsp.Green gel food coloring
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Funfetti red Christmas frosting for the rim
  • Christmas sprinkles for the rim and topping
  • Optional: colorful straws for even more festivity

Directions:

Step 1: To your blender, add ice cream, milk, and food coloring. Blend until smooth.

Step 2: If desired, add additional green coloring and blend, until you reach your desired shade of green for the shake.

Step 3: To rim your milkshake glass, add a small layer of frosting to the edge of the rim, and sprinkle the sprinkles over the frosting.

Step 4: Add the milkshake to your glass, and then top with whipped cream and Christmas sprinkles.

Substitutions:

Ice Cream– if you don’t get the Christmas Cookies ice cream in your area, or you don’t like the Christmas Cookies ice cream, this would also be great with cookies and cream ice cream, perfect for the oreo lover. You can still dye it green! Turkey Hill also makes a super fun cookie butter flavor ice cream.

Toppings– You could skip the holiday sprinkles and top this with a maraschino cherry!
