How to Assemble the Board
Step 1: Choose a board – Any large solid cutting board, platter, or even a cookie sheet lined with parchment will work!
Step 2: Start with the bowls– any bowls you need to use, add those to the board first as your “centerpieces.” Our Grinch dip needs a bowl, but you can also use bowls for things like the pretzels or M&Ms, if you prefer.
Step 3: Add the larger treats– place the larger homemade treats, like the fudge squares, Oreo balls, strawberries, etc. You can group them together, or make them trail across the board for a little more visual interest. Here’s where your creativity gets to shine!
Step 4: Fill in the gaps- Use the smaller items to fill in any gaps. Pretzels are a good idea, more M&Ms, plus any other fruit or small candies you are using. You can also layer different treats to add some height and dimension to the board.
Variations & Tips
- Add some savory elements- popcorn, chocolate covered pretzels, or Chex Mix are some great ideas.
- Add healthier ingredients, like more fruit, yogurt dip, or apple slices.
- Save time by using holiday themed store-bought fudge, Oreos, and other candies.
- Use different textures like fruit, candies, soft fudge, and crunchy pretzels.
- Try not to leave any blank spaces, full boards will look more enticing and festive.
- Keep the fresh fruit chilled until just before building & serving.

Make Ahead & Storage Tips
- With items like fresh fruit, making this board ahead can be a little difficult. However, I have a few ideas-
- Make the Grinch fudge ahead- it can be made up to 3 days before if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator until time to build the board.
- Oreo Balls will keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Fruit skewers and dip are best made the day of.
- To store board leftovers, dis-assemble the board, and store everything in airtight containers or ziploc bags in the refrigerator. This way, you can enjoy the treats leftover later on.

This Grinch Dessert Board is the most cheerful and festive way to celebrate for a Grinch-themed Christmas gathering. Wether you are hosting a big party, or just a family movie night, this treat tray is guaranteed to be a hit. Mix and match your favorite snacks and treats, add your own creative touches, and enjoy creating your own custom board.
