These cookies are seriously the cutest way to add a little magic to your Halloween lineup, and they take less than 30 minutes to make from start to finish!
Ingredients:
- 24 Fudge Stripe Cookies (chocolate side up!)
- 24 Hershey Kiss Candies, unwrapped
- (1) 16 ounce tub of decorating icing or canned frosting
- Orange gel food color
- Lime green gel food color
- Purple gel food color
- Halloween Sprinkles (optional, but highly recommended!)
TIP: Gel food coloring works best here because it keeps the icing thick and vibrant!

Tools Needed-
- 3 small bowls for coloring icing
- Spoons or a spatula for mixing
- Piping bags or zip-top plastic bags (with the corner snipped)
- A baking tray or platter to place the finished cookies

Directions:
1. Color Your Icing
Divide the tub of decorating icing evenly into 3 bowls.
To one bowl, add about ½ tsp. orange gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.
To the second bowl, add about ½ tsp. Lime green gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.
To the last bowl, add about ½ tsp. purple gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.

2. Prepare the Cookie Base
Lay out your fudge stripe cookies upside down onto a cutting mat.

3. Pipe the Hat Band
Add each color of frosting to its own piping bag.
Take the orange frosting and pipe a generous circle onto 8 of the cookies.
Repeat with the lime green and then the purple frostings.

4. Add the Kiss
Place a Hershey kiss candy onto each, pressing down to form the ring of frosting around the “brim of the hat”.

5. Decorate
Work quickly and sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles as you go, while the frosting is still soft.

6. Let Set
Let the cookies sit out for about 10-15 minutes so the icing can set. Then they’re ready to serve!

Storage Tips
- Store the cookies in a single layer in an airtight container at room temperature.
- They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days, if they last that long!
- If making ahead, wait to add sprinkles until closer to serving so they stay bright and crunchy.

Variations to Try
- Use different colored icing combinations to match your Halloween party decor.
- Try using flavored Kisses like pumpkin spice, caramel, or cookies & cream.
- Let kids customize their own with mini M&Ms, edible glitter, or candy eyeballs.
Take these cookies up a notch by using them to top fun and festive Witch Hat Cupcakes.
