Ingredients

Fudge Stripe Cookies – we flip these upside down to create the base of our witches hats!

Hershey Kiss Candies – for the pointy end of the hat. You can get creative and use different kisses variations, too!

Decorating Icing – we used a simple white store bought frosting to get our different Halloween colors. This creates a rim connecting the Hershey kiss to the cookie.

Gel Food Coloring – we opted for neon colors to get the brightest, most fun colors possible. We did orange, green, and purple for Halloween!

Halloween Sprinkles – we used some super cute mixed Halloween sprinkles, but you can use any fun sprinkles you find.

How to Make Witch Hat Cookies

Step 1: Divide the tub of decorating icing evenly into 3 bowls.

Step 2: To one bowl, add about ½ tsp. orange gel food coloring, and stir until well combined. To the second bowl, add about ½ tsp. Lime green gel food coloring, and stir until well combined. To the last bowl, add about ½ tsp. purple gel food coloring, and stir until well combined.

Step 3: Lay out your fudge stripe cookies upside down onto a cutting mat.

Step 4: Add each color of frosting to its own piping bag.

Step 5: Take the orange frosting and pipe a generous circle onto 8 of the cookies. Repeat with the lime green and then the purple frostings.

Step 6: Place a Hershey kiss candy onto each, pressing down to form the ring of frosting around the “brim of the hat”.

Step 7: Work quickly and sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles as you go, so that the sprinkles can attach before the frosting sets.
