Our Nutter Butter Ghosts are a fun, easy to make cookie for Halloween. You only need a few ingredients to whip them up, and they’re so easy that little ones can even make their own Nutter Butter ghost cookies, and everyone can get involved.

Nutter Butter Ghosts

We love fun and easy treats that the whole family can make for the holidays, and this is such a fun one. If your kiddos are Nutter Butter fans, they will love these cookies. They’re the perfect after school snack, Halloween party treat, or even a fun lunch box addition if your school is able to have peanut butter sent.

Here are the ingredients needed to make these nutter butter cookie ghosts-

Ingredients:

Nutter Butter Cookies – we used 12 nutter butter cookies, but you could make up to 20 with this recipe.

Frosting – ½ cup black decorating frosting  (I used Wilton black decorating frosting)

Candy Melts – 1 (12 ounce) package of white candy melts

How to Make Nutter Butter Ghosts:

Step 1: Microwave the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl on 30 second increments, stirring well between, until melted.

Step 2: Dip about ¾ of the nutter butter into the melted candy, and set aside to allow the candy to set.

You can use parchment paper, or a rack with parchment underneath like I used. If you use a rack, be very careful lifting the nutter butters after the candy has set. It makes for a nicer looking cookie, but the chocolate does stick to the rack.

Step 3: Once the candy has set, pipe the black frosting to make two eyes on each cookie.

Substitutions & Tips:

The Coating– you can easily coat these cookies with another ingredient you prefer, like melted almond bark. We love using white vanilla almond bark, or even melted white chocolate chips. For best results, add a tsp. of vegetable oil to the white chocolate chips when melting for the ultimate smooth chocolate.
