These Mummy Rice Krispie Treats are an easy and fun Halloween treat to make for the kids, or to even get them involved in making! We used just a few ingredients, and while we did make our rice krispie treats from scratch, you can certainly make this even easier and use premade rice krispie treats!

Mummy Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

BUTTER – 3 tbsp. unsalted butter

RICE KRISPIES – 6 cups rice krispies cereal

MARSHMALLOWS – 6 cups miniature marshmallows

WHITE CHOCOLATE – 10 ounces white chocolate melts, or white chocolate chips

CANDY EYES – 24 candy eyeballs

How to Make Mummy Rice Krispie Treats

Step 1: Spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick spray and set aside.

Step 2: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.

Step 3: Add miniature marshmallows, and continue heating, stirring frequently, until marshmallows are melted.

Step 4: Remove from the heat and stir in cereal, mixing until everything is well combine and the marshmallow is evenly distributed.

Step 5: Press the mixture into the 9×13 inch pan.

Step 6: Give the rice krispie treat mixture about an hour to sit.

Step 7: Cut the mixture into 12 rectangles and place them onto a cutting board or a cooling rack with parchment underneath.

Step 8: Melt the chocolate melts by microwaving in a microwave safe bowl on 30 second increments, stirring well in between.

Step 9: Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag, and snip off the tip. Drizzle the chocolate over the treats to make them look like mummies.

Step 10: Add candy eyes, and allow the treats to sit until chocolate has set.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you opt to use white chocolate chips, add 1 tsp. of vegetable oil to the chips before melting, and the chocolate will be ultra smooth.
  • Work quickly to stick the eyes to the melted chocolate before it cools.
  • Use pre-made rice krispie treats for the ultimate easy treat.
  • Add some cute Halloween sprinkles for a fun touch.
