Halloween Dirt Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 36 Oreo Cookies
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 2 (3 oz.) packages of chocolate instant pudding mix
- 12 ounces cool whip
- Ghost peeps
- Milano cookies
- Black decorating icing
- Mellow creme pumpkins
- Halloween M&M’s
Instructions
Step 1: Add half of the Oreo cookies to your food processor (about 18 cookies), and pulse to crumbs.
Step 2: Press the crumbs into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Step 3: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to mix cream cheese and butter, until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, and mix again to combine.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and chocolate pudding mixes. Slowly add the chocolate pudding to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until well combined.
Step 5: Add cool whip to the pudding and cream cheese mixture, and mix well to combine, until there are no streaks of cool whip remaining.
Step 6: Drop the mixture in large spoonfuls into the 9×13 inch pan. Gently smooth out the pudding mixture evenly across the pan, careful not to disturb the Oreo crumbs.
Step 7: Add the remaining Oreo cookies to your food processor, and pulse to crumbs. Sprinkle Oreo crumbs evenly over top of the pudding layer.
Step 8: Move to the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours, or until ready to serve. Meanwhile, make the tomb stones. Use the decorating icing to write RIP, or other tomb stone sayings onto the cookies.
Step 9: Before serving, decorate the top of the cake with ghost peeps, cookie tomb stones, pumpkins, and Halloween M&M’s.
