Okay guys, I don’t know about ya’ll, but mornings can be crazy. I can only imagine what busier moms that me deal with. I work at home and it can be hard to get going. It doesn’t help when I wake up to a crazy messy house, because then cleaning takes up precious time that could be spent working in the mornings. A while ago I started implementing a night time routine that could ensure that my mornings were stress free and I could get to work. This would also make your morning much less stressful if you are rushing to get kiddos ready and out the door.
Nothing is more refreshing in the morning than waking up to a tidied house and a clean kitchen. I use this simple routine to get these tasks done to ensure that my mornings are smooth sailing.
Here are the tasks on my list (there’s a free printable of this down below)
-Clear dinner dishes
-Throw away any trash
-Load dishwasher/wash dishes
-Prep coffee maker
-Clear counter tops
-Wipe table + counters
-Wipe stove + cooking areas
-Pick up toys/declutter
For my kitchen cleaning, I love the Palmolive® Multi Surface. You can go right from dishes to kitchen surfaces with this cleaner, which makes cleaning up a breeze! Mix the Palmolive® with some water (directions are on the bottle) and you have yourself a great, budget friendly cleaner for the hard surfaces in your kitchen!
Palmolive® Multi Surface eliminates 99.9% of bacteria (*staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica and E. coli ((157:H7)) from dishes and hard non porous kitchen surfaces.
You can find the Palmolive® Multi Surface on the Dish Detergent aisle with the other Palmolive® dish soaps at Walmart!
With my night time routine paired with the ease of using Palmolive® Multi Surface, not only is my nightly clean up quick and painless, I free up more time for working in the mornings, or sleeping, whichever… and I know that my kitchen is getting clean by this same brand that I’ve trusted forever.
You can also do like I did and frame your printable in a document frame, then use a dry erase marker to check off your tasks each night.
Do you think a night time routine would make your mornings less stressful?
