This Candy Corn Jello Shots recipe is so much fun for Halloween! We love layered jello shots, and this is definitely a fun one. There’s an orange layer, yellow layer, and a white layer, just like a candy corn piece. We topped them with whipped cream and a piece of candy corn, too. They don’t taste like candy corn, per say, though they are sweet! But they are giving us all the candy corn vibes in their appearance. These are just one of our Halloween jello shots that we have, so be sure and check them all out!

Candy Corn Jello Shots

Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 oz.) package of pineapple jello (or lemon jello!)
  • 1 (3 oz.) package of orange jello
  • 1 envelope of knox unflavored gelatin
  • 1 (14 oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1 ½ cups whipped cream vodka, divided
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Candy corn for topping
  • 16 (3 oz.) plastic cups

Directions:

Step 1: Place your Jello cups onto a shallow baking tray or large cookie tray to easily move them back and forth from the refrigerator.

Step 2: For the first layer we are preparing our yellow jello. In a medium saucepan, boil 1 cup water. Remove from the heat, and whisk in pineapple jello mix. Stir until dissolved.

Step 3: Stir in ½ cup cold water and ½ cup whipped cream vodka. Divide the yellow mixture among your plastic cups, filling about ¼-⅓  full.

Step 4: Move the cups to the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours.

Step 5: For the second layer, bring 1 cup of water to boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from the heat and whisk in orange jello powder. Stir until dissolved, then add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup of vodka. Allow the orange jello to cool completely before pouring evenly into your plastic cups.

Step 6: Once cool, add a layer of the orange gelatin mixture, filling to about ¾ full. Discard any remaining mixture. Move to the refrigerator to chill the middle layer for another 2 hours.

Step 7: Lastly, we’re adding a white layer on top of the orange layers. in a medium saucepan, whisk together 1 cup water and 1 envelope of knox gelatin. Heat on the stove until it is hot and steamy, no need to boil. Pour in sweetened condensed milk and whipped vodka, and whisk.

Step 8: Allow this mixture to cool completely to room temperature, then finish filling the jello shots with this final layer. Move them to the refrigerator for another 2 hours to chill the last layer.

Candy Corn Jello Shots recipe FAQs

Can I make these ahead of time?

Absolutely, just hold off on adding the whipped cream and candy corn pieces until right before serving. Also, for best results find cups that come with lids so they are sealed properly until you are ready for them.

What other liquor could I use?

We love whipped cream vodka, but you could also use plain vodka or a cup of vanilla vodka in place of each cup of whipped. For a fun twist, substitute half of the vodka for vanilla schnapps or butterscotch schnapps for more of a candy corn taste.
