Green Christmas Jello Shot Ingredients:

• Lime Jello- two boxes of lime jello mix.
• Water- 2 cups of boiling water, and 1 cup of cold, to make the jello.
• Vodka- you’ll need 1 cup of vodka or another clear liquor, for the booze in these yummy treats.
• Whipped cream- optional, for topping.
• Christmas jimmie sprinkles- optional, for an extra festive touch.
• Plastic Jello Shot Cups- 2 ounce cups for the shots, sometimes called condiment cups. We get these from Walmart, or on Amazon.

How to make Green Jello Shots

Step 1: Boil the water- Bring two cups of water to a boil, and remove from the heat.

Step 2: Whisk in the jello- whisk in both boxes of the jello into the hot water, stirring until dissolved.

Step 3: Add the cold water and vodka- pour in the 1 cup water and 1 cup vodka, and whisk these to combine.

Step 4: Add the jello to the cups- pour the jello mixture evenly into the two ounce cups.

Step 5: Chill in the refrigerator- move the cups to the refrigerator and let them chill for two hours so the jello can set.

​Step 6: Add the toppings- before serving, top these fun shots with whipped cream and some Christmas jimmie sprinkles.

Tips & FAQs

• You can use any clear liquor you prefer for these shots. Different liquors like silver tequila and white rum would be perfect. You can even used flavored vodkas like vanilla vodka, whipped cream vodka, etc..
• Any plastic shot glasses will work perfectly, but the size will determine how many shots you can make. 2-3 ounce cups work best.
• If you opt to make these with green apple flavor jello, note that the liquid requirements for different jello brands can vary. You can easily adjust the recipe, though, just be sure to match the liquid amounts on your jello package instructions, swapping some of the water for your liquor of choice. Is it better to make jello shots the night before?

You absolutely can make these ahead of time. If you purchase the two ounce cups with lids you can easily cover each shot while they chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them.

How much vodka should I put in jello shots?

I like to add about 1/2 cup of liquor per box of jello used when we make jello shots that way. When we use knox gelatin for unique jello shot flavors, the amounts can vary.
