Today I am sharing one of our favorite recipes ever. Garlic Parmesan Penne Pasta. We make this dish at least once a week or so, it is definitely a family favorite. I also love it because it makes so much food! This recipe would be perfect for holiday gatherings this year- impromptu visits, and things like that. Or, a small family dinner, with plenty left over. You probably already have these ingredients on hand, and it only takes about 30 minutes to whip up.
First you are going to want to head to the supermarket and grab some Barilla Penne Pasta and Clos du Bois Chardonnay. The wine pairs perfectly with this dish and will really make it a meal. You likely have the rest of the ingredients on hand, but if not, grab those, too.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil for generous drizzling
1 1/2 cups of parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. parsley
3 boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked
1 box of Barilla Penne Pasta
We absolutely love this combination, and you can totally play around with the dish and find your favorite way to make it! Your family may prefer more Parmesan, and less garlic, or more or less olive oil. That’s my favorite part about making this dish- seeing how it turns out, but always knowing it will be delicious. This dish serves 6-8 people.
Once you have your Penne boiled, according to the directions on the box, you’ll combine it in a large pot with the cooked chicken. Generously drizzle olive oil over the pasta and chicken. Don’t stress this part- you can always add more if needed. The Parmesan soaks up a lot.
With all of the ingredients included, combine the pasta. Mix well, so that the Parmesan gets distributed through all of the pasta.
I absolutely love cooking with Barilla pasta- it really is the only brand we buy. We’ve tried others but Barilla just always seems to come out perfect for us every time. The high quality of Barilla pasta means we get a great tasting dish that is the perfect comfort food for the whole table.
Next, we love Clos du Bois Chardonnay. It goes perfectly with this dish. This wine is bright and refreshing, with hints of ripe apple, pear, sweet lemon drop, toasty oak, vanilla bean, spice, and butter.
This dish is simple, and perfect for your holiday gatherings. I am obsessed with how easy it is to make, and the fact that it can feed a group. You’ll have them asking for the recipe, for sure.
Try it, and I know this will be a go-to dish for your family, too!
