Hey guys! In case you missed it, last month I shared my 2015 planner update. This year I’m using an Erin Condren Life Planner to keep my days organized & to help manage my time. I love watching Plan With Me style videos, but I plan relatively the same way/same things each week, so I thought I would do one post on how I plan my weeks. 🙂
Be aware this post is very photo heavy!
Disclaimer: All of these stickers were made by me, and many of them can be found in my etsy shop! The Erin Condren links in this post are my referral links, and if you are a new customer, you can use my link to take $10 off your first Erin Condren purchase! (Click!)
The sticker holder came from the dollar tree!
Here’s a look again at my Erin Condren cover. I’m hoping to get a new cover for spring very soon!
I had a couple of things already put in on this week. I use this sticker on my sidebar to track daily habits I’m working on- cooking, laundry, cleaning, my biz checklist, and my vitamins!
sorry for the brightness, sun came out 😉
The first stickers I put in are my checklist stickers. I don’t write in my to-do lists yet, I usually write them in the night before because it really depends on what all I accomplished that day.
I use these bills due stickers to write which bills are due this week, and the corner stickers mark days I get paid.
I put washi tape over the words at the bottom of the daily columns, usually something coordinated with what time of year it is. This week is Valentines, so I’m using this cute Valentines Day washi. I get most of my washi tape from Planner Kate on Etsy!
I usually do a little bit of decorating on holidays or special occasions. I used some washi and stickers from Target to decorate for Valentines Day.
In the bottom sections of my planner, I use these gratitude stickers to write something I’m grateful for each day.
I use these cute scale stickers to write down my weigh ins each Monday. I also write them in my weight loss tracker sheet which is coil clipped into the back of my planner (seen in my planner update post).
I use these CUTE water bottle stickers to track my water each day. Each bottle stands for a 25 oz bottle I drink out of at home, so I aim for 100 ounces daily.
I use these cute grocery cart stickers that I use to mark shopping trips, and this label to write where we are going or what we’re shopping for. 🙂
Then, I use these stickers to plan meals each night. I like to have them written right here in my planner so that when I glance at my planner in the morning I know what needs to be prepped and what meat needs to be thawed in advance. I’ll do my meal plan Tuesday before I make my store list!
I use these cute weather stickers to keep track of that and I keep track of the temperatures, too. This helps me plan my day because I try to make time for outside time with my little one each day that the weather allows.
Finally, this is my dashboard that I just created this week! I took a free printable from K Werner Design and laminated it. Then, I used my Scotch Adhesive Roller to attach my favorite sticky notes. I also keep some paper clips here as well.
I use one of my sticky notes to write my blog posts I’m planning to do for the week. I usually plan on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for the next week, and I do blog posts on Saturdays and Sundays, so this way I know quickly which posts I’m working on, and then I can just toss it when I get everything scheduled for the week.
Here’s a glance at the whole week.
I try to have a “planner moment” every morning before I get started working for the day, and every night after I’m done working. In the mornings I check out my to do list for the day and see what we’ve got going on, and then every night I’ll see what I accomplished and then make my to do list for the next day and leave myself any little reminders that I’ll need on a sticky note. I also fill out my gratitude stickers in the evenings.
I hope this was helpful for you to see how I setup my life planner. There is no right or wrong way to do it, you could use tons of stickers or no stickers, you could color code- whatever works best for you! I try not to use many stickers that are not functional- usually just on special occasions.
I assume that just like with the rest of my planners, the way I use this one will evolve, so I may do periodic updates to show you all how I’m setting my planner up. Let me know if that’s something you find interesting!
